24th July 2010 Windsurfing: Shoreham Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: F4 Surf / Sea State: Small chop Air Temperature: Warm Sea Temperature: Warm Weather: Hot & Sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: A nice unexpected session, snatched between some DIY jobs and a visit from my sister... Consequently only had big kit from the previous week, so had to rig 7.4m regardless. Was actually perfect, as the wind was slowly building during the afternoon. Only one other guy out when I launched, but about 5 when I had to stop, and then the car-park started filling up properly as some "real" wind arrived. Someone was planing on a 5.4m when I came in, but 7.4m was still fine on the Manta. Had to leave just as the regulars arrived, which was a shame, but I didn't expect to be out at all so very nice. Stright to Surfladle afterwards to try to buy a weed fin, as it's still a pain, but it seems Tuttle box weed fins are very hard to get... |
